THANK YOU
Thanks to the following H.L. Lion members who attended the zone meeting at our meeting place on November 24th: Renee Lahr, Hazel Oberpriller, Sue Grangroth, Steve Weber, Duane Hass Terry Thorson, LaNette Thorson, Darrell Main, Nancy, Main, Mike Main, Welton Zander, Catherine Stenberg, Vern Lemke, and Mardell Lemke.  A special thank you to Lion Welton Zander for doing the invocation prior to the meal.

Thanks to Lions Cathy Rufer, Linda Amman, and Sue Grangroth for decorating our meeting prior to our Governor’s Night/Christmas Party.

GOVERNOR’S NIGHT/CHRISTMAS PARTY
A good time was had by all who attended our annual Governor’s Night/Christmas party on December 4th.  DG Kevin Schuldt and his wife Jean along with VDG Floyd Roden and his wife Bev all were treated well and had a good time.

MEETINGS
We will be having only one meeting in January and that will be on Thursday, January 8th.  Lions Nancy Main, LaNette Thorson, and Terry Thorson will be cooking and serving the meal that night which will be at 7:00 P.M.  Our guest speakers that night will be PDG Lion Bill DuBats and his wife Lion Jan. Lion Bill will be speaking about Diabetes and Lion Jan will be speaking about Environment.  Our regular business meeting will be at 7:30 P.M.  Hope to see you all there.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTING CONTEST
Our club once again sponsored and judged the annual Christmas Lighting Contest.  The winners in various categories are as follows:

MIDWINTER CONVENTION
This year’s Midwinter Convention will be held on January 16, 17, 18, 2004 at the Marriott in Bloomington. Lion LaNette Thorson is this year’s chairperson of the convention.

If you are planning to attend the gambling meeting at the convention, you will be eligible for reimbursement of one night’s stay, one meal, and mileage—provided you sign the attendance sheet at the gambling meeting.
