MEETINGS
Our first meeting of the month will be on Thursday, Feb. 2nd at our meeting place This will also be a meal that night.  Lions Tom and Karen Hill will be cooking the meal.  The meal will be at 7:00 P.M. with the meeting at 7:30 P.M.
 
Our second meeting will be take place on Thursday, Feb. 16th also at our meeting place.  There will be a Board of Directors meeting at 6:30 P.M.  No member has volunteered to cook for this meeting.  If interested, please notify Lion Steve by the first meeting.  If there is no meal, the meeting will be at 7:00 P.M. (7:30 if there is a meal; please check the Feb. 13th Herald)

HOFFMAN CONCERT
Bruce Hoffman, an alumni of HLWW High School will hold a concert at Humphrey Hall (HLWW High School) on Sunday, February 19th.  This event will be sponsored by the Howard Lake Lions.  There will be two shows that day.  The first show will be at 2:00 P.M. and the second show will be at 7:00 P.M.  Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door; ages 12 and under are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.  All tickets will be general admission.   Proceeds from the concert will go towards school youth programs.

Ticket sales are going very well.  Also, Lion Kathy Main has volunteered to serve food and beverages to the band.  There will be four EMT’s from the HLFD at each show.

We will be starting to set up for the concert on Saturday, Feb 18th at 6:30 PM.  We will be needing all the help from our membership that night and also on the day of the concert.  Hope to see you all there.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
It was announced at the January 5th meeting that Lion Lee Kaltved will be rejoining our club.

The Howard Lake Lions will be holding their 5th Annual Scramble Golf Tournament at Shadowbrook Golf Course (4 miles south of Winsted) on Saturday, July 15th.  Tee time will be at 7:30 AM.  More details in upcoming newsletters.

Our club will be having their pancake breakfast on Sunday, April 9th (Palm Sunday) at the Howard Lake Legion.  More details in upcoming newsletters.  Also, our annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on April 15th.
