THANK YOU NOTES
Thank you notes were received from the Camp Friendship, Camp New Hope and the After Prom Committee for our recent donations.
On page four of this newsletter, there is a form for a list of nominations for the Helen Keller Award and for the Hearing Foundation Fellow. Please follow the instructions on the bottom of the form.
Our sympathies go out to the family of Lion Bernie Rohling on the passing of his wife and former Lion member Judy.
Also, our sympathies go out to Lions Duane Hass and Denise Oberpriller on the loss of their father Arthur Hass. In lieu of flowers, the club made a donation to the Eye Bank in memory of Lions Duane’s and Denise’s father.
Our club made a donation to the following:
(1) Queen’s Committee towards sponsoring a queen candidate for Good Neighbor Days in June. (2) To Curtis Larson, a member of the H.L. Boy Scouts. The money will be used towards the purchase of lumber for two more picnic tables that he wants to build in order to achieve the ranking of Eagle Scout.
(3) To our local Boy Scout troop towards the purchase of new equipment.
(4) To the Howard Lake Watershed Association.
Lion Duane Hass donated a wheelchair to our club. It was used by his father during his stay in the nursing home in HL. We thank Lion Duane for his generosity.
